Nationals Lose Zimmermann To Tigers
- Updated: November 29, 2015

The first major free agent is off the board. And the Nationals are weaker for it.
Starter Jordan Zimmermann, who spent his entire career in Washington, reportedly signed a five-year, $110 million contract with the Detroit Tigers, pending a physical.
The 29 year-old and a two-time All-Star went 70-50 with a 3.32 ERA in 178 career starts for the Nationals. He is the Nats all-time leader in wins, innings, strikeouts and games started.
He now joins the Tigers, who are looking to rebound after a disappointing 2015.
