Adam Cristman had a part in three of DC United’s four goals in its US Open Cup win over FC Dallas on April 28. Cristman scored two goals and assisted another, as DC jumped out to a 3-0 lead before winning 4-2. Thanks, Phil

Dear Mr. Mickelson:
I could spend some time thanking you for the obvious: for giving us golf aficionados some tremendous thrills during your recent Masters win; it was special to watch. Yeah–you shot magnificently off the pine straw, maneuvered around trees, and ended the tournament with a birdie. [...]

Three of DC United’s most common defensive four in 2009 are on the injured list and this year’s stabilizing international acquisition has joined them. The biggest scoring threat in this year’s draft, Spiller is too electrifying and too explosive to be ignored. I guess you could say that he has enough talent to be taken anywhere in the draft, so it [...]

DC United has brief break to find focus thumbnail

Saturday night’s latest disastrous effort showed that DC United Coach Curt Onalfo has a reasonable, if incomplete, understanding of his roster’s capabilities. “I thought we created some good chances, and in the second half we went straight down the middle and we lost our shape,” said Santino Quaranta. “The second half it seemed like I stood out there the whole time just waiting, waiting, waiting,” he added. “Nothing really came about.”

Onalfo ‘pissed off’ at slow start thumbnail

DC United head coach Curt Onalfo is, in his own words, “pissed off” at the team’s slow start. “We shouldn’t be 0-3 and we are,” he told ASN this week. But for Onalfo and DCU, there’s no time or energy to waste on what has already transpired. “You can cry and whine about it and complain and make excuses and over-analyze it like everybody else is going to do, or we can actually get back down to business, continue to work and fight through it,” he said. “We’re going to get through it. I have all the confidence in the world.”
